REVIEWS OF PENDULUM BY S.E. GERMAN
This story resonates with the authenticity and care of a personal connection; readers will learn about PANDAS--a neuropsychiatric disorder that seems to be often overlooked or misdiagnosed--while they are drawn into a story of hope and self-identity. Pendulum is an important read for families dealing with any anxiety disorders, and for all readers to help further their empathy and understanding of the people around them.

This book truly is the Wonder of mental health. – Reader
It reminds me of Lisa Genova's work (Still Alice, Left Neglected, Love Anthony) from its accurate depiction of the neurological condition, but is targeted to tweens/early teens and is written in first person. It's really engaging. – Reader
If you have children between 9-14, I think this is an especially timely read. The story will foster empathy and kindness teaching them that classmates may be going through a lot more than they are aware, and that sometimes unusual-seeming behaviour has understandable reasons. Additionally, in this age of mental health awareness, there is no better time to read a story that encourages open communication about feelings with parents and discusses a variety of coping strategies to explore. Will definitely be buying this for the tweens/early teens in my life. – Reader
